A week of small observations

Seven short notes, one each day. An invitation to notice more without adding another task to your list.

One sentence each day

For a week, write one sentence about something outdoors. A window view counts. So does a street tree on the way to a shop. Keep the note specific: “rain gathered on the lower leaves” tells you more than “a nice morning”.

Do not worry about finding a new place. Repetition is useful. The same view in different weather gives you something to compare.

Use a gentle prompt

If you feel stuck, choose one prompt: a sound, a texture, a shadow, a movement, a smell, a colour or a change. Use one per day, in any order. Skip a day if you need to; this is a practice, not a streak to protect.

Keep your notes private unless you want to share them. Remove precise locations and other people’s identifying details before publishing.

Read the week together

At the end, read the seven sentences as a single page. Notice what caught your attention repeatedly. That pattern can suggest your next walk or a longer notebook entry. The collection does not need a conclusion. It already records a week you paid attention to.
